10 things I hate about the Sims 3
1. The cover
While it might be entertaining looking at all those little simmy icons while you are holding it in your hands, it still just doesn’t make a damn good impression. I think something like a game cover should be distinct and presentable even when downsized to a tiny avatar size image or when looked at from the distance. And it just looks way to cluttered and doesnt have this ‘Bang!’ feeling to it. Although, taking that into account, it does suit the game well..

2. The fact that they don’t look like this
haha this is a render of a poser model, well i don’t really expect sims to look like that. I’m fine with level of detail they have.. it’s just I have had a hard time creating a nice looking sim, and looks like its not just me who had the same problem. Their faces could use more angles..and less fat:P
I did see actual beautiful sims made by the game in my neighborhood, so I didnt lose all my hope yet, just still all sims use the same skintone texture, therefore, end up looking like members of one big family. Hate that.
3. Custom content now being a taboo
This one I’m frustrated about the most
Instead of making it even easier for us to mod, they take away the option completely. I could swear i would have quit sims 2 after a month of playing if it wasnt for custom cotent, as it managed to keep my interest alive. Stuff in ea store sucks anyways, I pay for content only if i feel it’s worth it, and it so doesnt. so that lets monopolize the custom content creation move was just moronic
Yeah everyone says modders will get to it and there will be some tools to make the game look what we want. Basically, I dont think there will be ‘userfriendly’ tools any time soon. And your average texturer won’t wanna bother with tutorials, dowloading 10 applications or plugins and going through complicated series of steps to import it back. You just want to create your texture and single-click import it and have fun, pretty much like bodyshop did it. So i’m guessing there will be less quality CC because of it, but I hope I’m wrong
4. Game Content
Too little stuff..and too crappy stuff. but ppl are bitching about it all over the net,so no point in another ea is just trying to rip us all off speech
5. Rabbit hole buildings
yea..talk about realism..
6. No new stuff for moviemakers
except camera pans being more smooth and camera tilts.. wow that means revolution…
You even can no longer edit cam parameters in a txt file. [Edit: ok, you can it just can be found elsewhere...]
i really expected at least some new tools, as sims 2 machinima got really popular and could be good (and free) advertising to the game
instead, the game is even less controllable, custom content is under a question mark.. no control of the time of the day and townies. Great job, EA
7. Whatever happened to boolprop
if you look into the boolprop history, it wasn’t commonly known at first, it was an actual debugging tool used by game devs, thats why there were a ton of weird options and no one even knew what those were for.
now of course that we ‘know’, they took them all away
you cant even delete a sim wont even mention spawning an object similar to pauls reaction tester and all other stuff which made moviemaking at least a bit easier

8. Despite all the promises, the social aspect of the game still lacks alot
i thought the main focus of the game would shift from fulfilling sims needs to making sims social lives more fun and human-like. well i dont see too much changes in their social behaviour. 80% of social interactions are recycled, hardly anything changed really
9. And yes, gotta love recycling
alot of meshes and animations are same as in sims 2, so it just automatically loses its freshness.. and gets you bored more quickly as you already have ’seen it all’
10. All the stuff that was present in base sims 2, but missing in sims 3
starting with wedding arch and ending with aliens
the list is very very long
and okay not to sound like a complete buzzkill…
10 Things I love about Sims 3
1. Sunset Valley
the scenery, landscape.. just the way the town looks.
that’s the only thing that wows me about this game, it feels like this is the only aspect which was actually taken to another level
2. Traits & moodlets
when i started playing I didn’t pay much attention to those.. i thought like so what, its alot like personalities in Sims2.. in fact traits are much more elaborate.. if you observe them more closely.. you’ll notice how each trait has a set of special animations or interactions..like clumsy sims would be tripping over things all the time. I had a clumsy girl propose and she almost dropped the box with the ring. Thought it was so cute lol
3. Design a style tool
changing colors/pattern sometimes can bring even most hideous clothing meshes to life. Too bad there is no patternmaker tho
4. Performance
Comparing to Sims 2, performance/game load improved, no annoying loading screens!
5. Story progression..
Adds up alot to the gameplay, its one of my favorite new things in the game as it’s nice to have a ‘real family’ who ages along with you, you can visit them and see what they are up to, you can stalk your neighbors too.. (although whenever I did it, they just were standing there.. i know this was made to save up the system resources.. but still.. the game knows when i’m trying to look into the house, it could just make them do something lol
6. Cementary & ghosts
lol i just like it there lol plus ghosts are more fun as you can interact with them, or even control them(which hasnt hapened to me yet)
7. Careers
are a bit more fun and not just a ‘label’ type thing anymore.. as you get the opportunities assignments which are somewhat like quests.. but i wish they required at least a little bit of thinking lol
also creative freelance jobs can actually be profitable.. love that too
8. Gradually changing lighting
self explanatory
9. All the small things
the ambrosia salad, $3000 worth of plutonium found in neighbors trash, steal candy from a baby interaction.. there are a ton of little touches that are not so in your face and you discover them only when playing
10. It’s not sims 2
since ive developed an allergy to sims 2 by now, i much prefer to play sims 3.. even with all its flaws:P
so.. my marketing advice for ea would be
scrap sims 3 release sims 4 in one year lol OR
release a set of tools which will make sims 3 fully customizable
because despite the positive reviews from the ‘critics’, the customers are generally unhappy [link]
Otherwise Sims 3 is a major letdown…not saying its worthless or a waste of time, no, its improvement over sims 2.. just it’s not enough. the main purpose behind this game was to make the majority of sims fans say omg sims 2 totally blows comparing to this one, i’m swtching to the sime 3! and i could see alot of ppl sticking with sims 2 for now.. as basically sims 2 with the best CC on them beats the raw sims 3..at least in some ways
now as for me..
I’ve played it for quite a bit, but then decided to wait till there are at least some new hairs and decent skintones are made..because playing without cc… takes away too much fun for me.
As for the moviemaking, to be honest i didn’t get this omg i gotta make a movie with this, as moviemaking-wise it’s same as the old sims 2 which is imo not moviemaker friendly at all.. So this will surely take some time till some hacks/tools are developed… I’ve made Helena 2 years after sims was released, there is no chance I could make this movie even a bit earlier than that.. so I guess i’m just gonna have to wait and see what modding community comes up with..

I don’t have the game (yet, lol) but I am rather disappointed with some of what you said as well. Like, the faces. They look kinda chubby. And many of the actions of the sims in the game do seem similar from what I’ve seen in gameplays. There’s also the whole ‘hospital to give birth’ thing, but I guess I can forgive this one, since you wouldn’t really want to see them giving birth or anything.
And I also agree on what you do like. The scenaries are gorgeous and whatnot. Hope they make moviemaking easier with all those hacks and tools, I’d love to see your awesome movies. I’m a big fan! <3

glad im not alone on this one. dont even know one person who was actually happy with this game, everyone is pretty much disappointed
hate the car thing too. it’s not so bad for gameplay as it would take forever.. getting in and out, saves some time but i just have a feeling ea was lazy. the car animations are so bad, wont even mention cars going through sims and other cars
Vicky, not sure what you were talking about? the game comes with design a style tool, you can actually change any in game object color with it.. its nice but very limiting because textures remain the same
Angela, yep aloooot of interactions are just imported from sims 2. at times you just forget youre playing sims 3 not sims 2 they feel this much alike..
i actually like giving births at the hospital thing but it soo annoys me you cant follow them anywhere they just get into the building and disappear..
someone, yep i know its just half the options are missing now..

I agree with you on a lot of that stuff — somehow I really did expect more from it.
I absolutely hate the fact that most of our good old cheats are useless and that, like you said, there probably won’t be good mods any time soon.
I also noticed too that the talk animations are especially similar, if the not the same, ones as TS2.

U’re too right. I myself am using the sims 2 (Haven’t got pixelshader 2.0) I’d thought since I heard of the sims 3 that moviemaking would be a lil’ bit hard especially in the first few months. I’ll check out the sims 3 when I get pixelshader, but as far as I’m concerned, I’m sticking to sims 2 for movie making…

I couldn’t agree more. It’s like they’ve marketed it towards a younger audience who doesn’t plan on using the game for anything more than making fat sims pee themselves.
The majority of the Sims 2 fanbase was interested in using the game as a machinima/CC outlet. Now they’ve done nothing but restrict that. And one more thing I noticed, is that while the lighting is much improved and sets can look nice, sims themselves have this very animated feel. Even base game sims from TS2 had a more realistic look to them .. TS3 sims look like they can never be modded enough to get the realistic look TS2 sims have come to achieve. AND WHY DOES EVERYTHING THEY WEAR LOOK LIKE RUBBER?! They’re not polly pocket dolls. Thanks, but no thanks EA. I would have much preferred some more EPacks for TS2 while giving TS3 another year of hard work. *grunt*
My only hope, is that seeing as TS2 modders have already started working hard on TS3, that something reasonably helpful will be released for us film makers soon. With TS2, those modders took years to come out of the nook they were hiding in.

I though the graphics where gonna b better the clothes in my opinion SUCK! only 1 cheat wprks and thats motherlode and stairs wont show up! so like ya i dont like the game all that much:( i was let down *sarcastic tear rolls down eye*

well i actually discovered the Awesome mod a while ago,
it also has the option to activate the debugging tools aka boolprop, so the game basically can be a bit more controllable now:)
Chris, yep youre pretty much on the point..
too bad they rely so much on creating those textures by hand.. photoskinned stuff looks so much more realistic..but like you said since its targeted at 3year olds now..it just had to be cartoonish
actually i’m not as worried about their faces anymore after seeing a few sims here and there. faces are pretty much customizable with the sliders hack of course
they still make those overdistorted expressions which dont look good but so did sims 2.. they just need a good skin and theyll be good to go.. i think
hopefully tsr releases bodyshop or sth soon.. i played with the tool on modthesims.. might sound like a quitter but oh no this is too much for me:P if at least there was an option to preview wtf youre doing.. it crashed on me on the export anyways..so ive decided to not waste any of my time with it

and yes clothes hair, makeup indeed do suck. . my sims from different generations end up looking all the same, as there is like 1-2 hairs that i can more or less tolerate lol

I’ve actually gotten pretty bored with the Sims 3, and am currently back to playing the Sims 2. I’ll start playing again when we get an expansion/stuff pack or some custom content. And I hate how your Sims look really good in CAS in the Sims 3, and thenn look like crap ingame.

It’s early days yet, so there is bound to be a few things we hate about Sims 3.
The thing I hate most about The Sims 3 though, is the amount of Hairstyles. It’s just my opinion but I think all of the Male Hairstyles are SHIT! I always have to settle for ones I wouldn’t take a second glance at in Sims 2.
As for Cars, at least we can have our cars anywhere on the lot now and not set 8-tile differences. By that I mean any distance from the road, (and I think any angle, I haven’t placed a car on diagonals yet). So I’m not exactly surprised the Sim and Car just appear on the road, imagine if the car had to go through an obstacle course of trees, rocks and ponds just to get to the road.
As for custom content, I’m having fun just playing the game as it is. I do tend to get bored of things quickly, but that’s why I’m glad of the seamless neighborhood and opportunities which require you to actually do something other than press a button. And with all these traits to try out, It’ll be a while till I get really bored of just playing the game and start focusing on building with the game or modifying the game to suit my needs.

I went and got it the first day it came out. I even got two huge blisters on my ankles from my shoes by walking to Wal-Mart. lol. I was very disapointed with it. It demands so much more, I even had to get more RAM for my computer to get it to work properly. I’m mad at the fact that you can’t get CC unless you buy it from the Sims 3 store. I feel as if EA’s not worried whether we’re happy with the game or not. They were just in it to gain profit by making the game seem spectacular. They worried too much on the graphics instead of the game performance. I mean, my clock doesn’t even work right when you speed up the game. I have to sit for 8 minutes while my sims are at work or school. It’s an utter disapointment to me. Everytime I see the commercial, I’m obligated to throw something at my TV. They could of worked a little harder on the game performance. Let’s hope they come out with some better things, like GOOD custom content.

Agreed Haley. They Hyped it so much. And they got more hype by the alleged release of the game 2 weeks before it came out. (Which I think they did themselves to get more publicity)
So now a majority of the Huge sims Fans are stuck with a $50 game they get bored with easily. I’m really hoping whatever expansion pack they come up with, makes up for all the Fail in this game.
I would have been happy if they just took the ‘no loading screen’ aspect of the game and imported into the sims 2 because from where I’m standing they back tracked.
The Sim vanishing into a car is sooo TS1.
But the good thing about the game is the scenery. And the no loading screen…..and that you can tilt the camera in game….but That’s about it.

I agree 100% I like playing sims 3, but the cc for sims 2 is what made it fun. Every single persons game was different, and customized for them, and with sims 3 everything looks the same. The same neighborhood, same fatty faced sims ;) Over all sims 3 is better for someone who has never played sims 2 before :D.

I agree too! I felt so terribly gyped after buying the sims 3 that I uninstalled it and reinstalled my sims 2 and all the eps! I didnt give it a chance because I was so disgusted with the chubby faced sims… so unrealistic and hard to customize…

I agree! But to help you out, there is a camera file, I’ve acsessed it man times and boolprop is just “testingcheatsenabled true.” So that means only 8 reasons to hate it, LOL! Custom content is almost impossible now unless it is from ts3 website lol. So many people aren’t making sims 3 movies. They left ts2 out for so long, that people are used to it. The camera file is in C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/GameData/Shared/NonPackaged/Ini/Video Camera. Or you could mess around in that file with the sky settings and stuff. I hope I helped!

Ever since i saw the advert for The Sims 3 on YouTube i was completely put off! The people look like pigs - the way their facial features are. My friend has is and she says it isnt the big thing that EA promised…so now i’m definitely not gonna buy it. And the fact you have to PAY for decent CC is a massive downer!
I remember when all the Sims 1 games were £5 in ASDA and went to go buy them. I thought EA couldn’t do any better than that! But now i look back - the graphics were terrible and you were only allowed 4 angles of rotation. Maybe it’ll be like that with the sims 3 - but i dont wanna waste £30 just to see.

I haven’t got the game yet, but I agree with the face thing. I suck in making pretty faces by myself in Sims 2 so I’ve been living on “basefaces” (=Maxis created). And if the Maxis faces are as baf as what I see in the trailers I’m going to have VERY big problem.
BUT - this is for all who agree - think it this way:
Remember The Sims? You pick clothing and your hairstale, your name, gender. You see them in a funny angle. Everything reminds some sort of doll house. Movie making? Don’t be ridiculous.
And then The Sims 2. BIG difference. Think about your movies if you don’t see.
Think about how hard is to make the same size leap - again. That might be true that EA looks… stupid by Sims 3 but we were expecting so much. That’s why I don’t wonder if EA has done some shortcuts (like hospital giving birth what people were talking about) but how else they could live up?

I haven’t even got Sims 3. I don’t want it, to be honest. The Sims 3 sounds like and looks like absolute (insert swear word here) to me. The whole reason I went on was to give pre-made Sims’ makeovers (Pleasant, Goth, DeBateau, etc). I used custom content for this but now I heard they don’t have cc on Sims 3? (Swear word here.)
Eh, what am I gonna do… I’m gonna sit and play Sims 2.

To be honest i agree with you. Everybody thought the sims 3 would be a big hit it turned out to be boring. But the good thing is they are thinking about doing expansion packs for the sims 3 which i hope can let us do whatever we used to do in the sims 2..

I totally agree with everything you hated about The Sims 3. I’m going to stick with Sims 2 Movie Making, because the custom content is much better and sims 3 clothes and hairs just look… tacky. Plus, sims 2 is just much much easier. SIMS 4 MUST BE AS GOOD AS SIMS 2 AND 3! :)

I’ve tried and tried to force myself to love the Sims 3 like I love Sims 2. I’ve installed it twice…and uninstalled it twice. I didn’t feel the magic, or the “OMG! THIS GAME IS THE SHIZZ#$$%$%#%5353%” feeling that I felt when I first played the Sims 2. I’m really upset that it’s not that satisfying to me yet. Hopefully it will get better when more ep’s and wonderful mod creaters start some major work.

I refuse to switch to TS3. I installed it, played it for a full 2 hours and threw the disc as far as I could, then uninstalled the game. I prefer TS2 by a loooooong mile. Even the original Sims that released in 2001 is better than TS3. I still play The Sims (I think people call it The Sims 1 now).

The sims three is good in some aspects, but what horrified me is the fact that even after i installed it on a computer with very little on it, it met all the reqs for the game and it still runs horribly. I don’t know what to do, but I cant play the game with it lagging so much.

I suck at movie making and i just cant understand custom content (err can u repeat that 9 zillion times please?) so i was really hoping Sims 3 would make that sooo much easier for me so i cud be like an AWSOME movie maker (like err.. J-D!) but then sims 3 came out and I can promise you a nearly chucked it when i found its (a) didnt have any help with custom content making and stuff and (b) that may of been because there wasn’t any! tee hee i sent hate mail 2 the company.

omg yes this game was a bit of a let down i mean it is a bit better but yes there faces are a little chubby nd have you noticed all of the PC characters look either chinese or were just scared to death and have there eyes wide open? how did you make that pic for #2 for things you h8 about this? is it from sims 3 or did you just kinda find it because they all said it would look like that but in the end didnt… as for sims 2 i was like when they made a sims 3 i just jaw dropped i mean i have every sims expansionpack and stuff pack what am i supposed to do with them?! anyways im stickin to the sims 2 because its easier to make short films and such and there is more things to do with it with the allmenus cheat and others to make beautiful houses and awesome punker or preppy sims…
anyways i just wanted to say after the wait i was happy with it for a while but got bored quickly as i do for most things but the sims 2 was different. bye for now!

well, the sims 3 is, for me, okay. its fun to play the game for fun, but with moviemaking, not so much. i love the fact that you dont have so many loading screens, but still, there is no cc, and that just makes it boring. so im gonna stick with sims 2 for movie making.

With CC aside sims 3 even took away certain aspects of the sims2, which okay took years of sweet expansions, but now its like starting all over again. like the stone ages. No apartment life, bon voyage or even pet or university adventures. does EA expects us to pay even more money for better expansions for sims3? why bother, just keep making sims2 expansions…

I think people are being a bit harsh on the game.
I liked it - I guess I just wanted a break from the scary unrealistic… ness of Sims 2. Yeah, they could have made it at least SEEM a bit more progressive from the previous game…
And I lol’d at all the msgs about the chubby faces. If the goons at EA are trying to make everything more realistic, are they saying we’re all fat?
I also hate the colour of the skin; I think it’s too plastic.
The hype was worthless, tbh. I hate the spazzy, glitch-looking animations when sims are getting into a car. I also hate that cats go THROUGH the sims. Grr.
But I guess I can’t say much about the game, I’ve only had it for a couple of months and I haven’t found everything there is to know about it (I refuse to go on prof. critic sites to get the dirt on the cheats. Ruins the fun).
In conclusion, I think the game could have been much better, but I’m moderately happy with it now. I’d be ecstatic if they suddenly released a CC tool…

I got Sims 3 and played it for 3 weeks then went back to S2, the only thing I like about S3 is the hoods.
I can’t stand the Sims themselves they look to cartoony not good when writing stories.
Theirs no Vampires (which I love) no aliens no custom hoods in fact it doesn’t leave much scope for storytelling.
I’m sticking with Sims 2.

hyeah this game is just like….sims 2 with higher graphics.
so woop dee doo, the sims can now move around the neighborhood. big deal. movie makers can make a fake one…with more proportianlly sized buildings.
dont really see what the big shebang about sims 3 is. id rather stick to the original, since basically, EA just copy-pasted most of the stuff from sims 2.

Another thing I hate more than anything about this game. You can only play one family at a time. Switching to another household you’ll lose all saved wishes and opportunities.

Completely agree, also, I hate the fact that if you make an even slightly muscular sim, their thighs and calves end up super-big and they look dumb if you put them in jeans or tight pants. I do like Sunset Valley though, and the new choices of cars, but the round faces and bad cc is so annoying. I found quite a few hairstyles and clothes on TS3 website but all the little things like eye colors and makeup and teeth and stuff seem to have disappeared :-( *sigh* and what happened to vampires and zombies!?

Okay! let’s bash the World adventures now! the whole indiana jones thing is so last year..or decade, without counting the most recent sequel. it’s interesting how they call it world adventures tho. didnt know that the whole world is like 3 countries, or 4 if you include sunset valley wherever that is. I havent played it much, only visited one location [egypt] and got bored. seems like they were trying to turn sims into some sort of quest, except the quest complexity is intended for 3year olds or mentally retarded.. so i just got tired of dragging those rocks around and traps that dont really kill you anyways. when i first saw the size of the thing, i thought it would be generously packed with new game features trying to make up for the whole sims 3 fiasco.. instead its packed with some boring adventures.. the locations are very well made and beautiful though so looks like this is what taking up all those gigs. oh and its really cute that you can buy an slr and practice photography:P, but still according to me it’s yet another FAIL.

Eh I managed to make a Movie IMO still terri-bad and hard to do.Their was a mod out that was somewhat like a talk overlay mod for sims 3. But after a patch from the lovely EA the mod doesn’t wokr anymore /le sigh. Is it me or does it seem like EA wants people to buy from their store? Its like the patch up the game and stuff like Custom made hair furniture and whatnots crash your game.

I was ecstatic when I saw the preview of sims 3…. They claimed they had plenty of camera angles and things for movie makers…but they lied. The career are good but… the game in period just sucks.

One of your reasons for not likeing Sims 3 was because of BoolProop removal. It’s acctually still there but with a diffrent name. The cheat is “testingcheatsenabled true”. Also, if you don’t remember, when Sims 2 came out, there was little or just crappy custom content. Give Sims 3 some time to grow, and it will have great CC as well.

yea i know about that, just the ingame ‘boolprop’ doesnt have the same functionlity as in sims 2.. like killing sims, making them pregnant etcetc. i believe it can be unlocked but requires a mod. and thats another problem with the game, if you want to get most fun outta it, you need alot of mods and cc. and when a new patch is out mods no longer work or some mods need another mod so that it could work.. just kinda annoying. and as for cc, it’s a must but on the other hand, i dont want to have too much custom content as i remember what my sims 2 with vs with no cc was like.. too huge difference in performance

You won’t see me doing Sims 3 for a very long time. -.- When I saw those preview vids and pictures on the EA site like a year ago, I already thoughed to myself: Epic Fail.
Why are they so chubby and boring? Seriously, they are just plain ugly. The scenery is awesome, I got to give them that. But that’s mainly it.
Plus I haven’t actually played the game in like 3 years or something, I couldn’t buy Sims 3 without having any mods, hacks or CC’s to create Machinima with. It would just bore my brains out. I guess I’m just lazy, haha!

hay i love to play sims 3 but the people look werid becides that its good but you cant really download anything but the beach and the sea is amazing but i would perfer to play sims 3 but for making movies it has to go to sims 2 yeah cant wait till sims 4 hope we dont get let down by sims grafics again but ill be getting sims 4 thats for sure but overall sims 3 is a great game ive been playing sims 3 more well i be first in the shops when sims 4 comes out !!! -LemonTeddyFilms

Can’t stand sims 3. When it first was gonna come out i thought hmm maybe i should buy this game…. Then a few days after it came out i went to amazon to see reviews. More than 40 people put 1 star! They said the game either lagged, crashed their laptop or w.e or just the game was too like the sims 1. My opinion im sticking with sims 2. I waited a few years after it came out and i ain’t getting rid of it now.

I think all the Sims in Sims 3 look as ugly as sh*t, I wish there were no textures in the furniture and everything like in the Sims 2, I wish that we could like, follow them when they go to school and work, and i wish we could control them just a little more. I also wish they could do more weird stuff, like get drunk or something.

I like that you get cars automatically on sims 3, no expansions packs needed, but the sims don’t actually viually get in! They just walk to the curb click their c=keys then magically appear in their car, or just magically apear in a cab! Atleast in Sims 2 they got into the cars!

I do think most of us are disapointed from the lack of stuff from the ep’s……(without actually mentioning it) like vamps and zombies and stuff. But we will get more expansion packs! So far there’s The Sims 3, an expansion pack and a stuff pack. PAtience will come!

I was very exited about Sims 3 when I heard of it (obsession with Sims 2 for years..) and the first time I played it, I liked it. I still like it. I have a couple things I don’t like about it, including the part where all the Sims 2 moviemakers and players are abondoning it and less CC is being made.
I think Sims 3 is cute, but if they could make a version that atleast looks like sims 2, but with the gameplay of sims 3, That would be awesome. I also hated how you can’t go into the stores. You could in Sims 2. Wtf? There are many other things like how they always look like they have double chins.
But I’m gonna stop here.
I loved it otherwise…

Every body I ask, says they hate Sims 3, I love how the graphics are realistic, but it just takes away from the original Sims look! It also takes away from the animated-ness (?) But yeah, I’m not going to completely trash the game, but it still stinks.

well.. i didnt really want to discourage anyone with this post.. this is really feedback from an ‘artist’ perspective.. if you want to get creative perhaps sims 3 won’t be as great as sims 2 was for this purpose.. but thats just a game meant for playing.. sure you will be disappointed with some things and you will most probably like other things about it.. if the money is not a big issue then yea what the hell get it just to see what its like

I started watching sims 2 vids on youtube and was thrilled by how great they were, I thought sims 3 would be better though I hadn’t seen any movies from it and thought it was just cause it was newish. So I spent my $50 bucks on it.
Honestly for someone who never played sims 2 I thought it was pretty fun. I haven’t started to try and make movies yet, but I plan to.
I agree with serenity, it has to get worse before it can get better. Give it some room, it’ll grow into something better.

Okay, if EA is going to get rid of the option of custom content, then they should at least make their original content GOOD ENOUGH so that we wont feel compelled to make better content since theirs suck… They should just hire people who makes really good custom content on Sims2 and make them create contents for Sims4! lol!
Anyways, all idiocy aside, I’m just waiting and waiting for contents, hacks and tools to come out for YOU to create another AMAZING movie :D I can’t wait!

I got sims three for christmas and it totally crashed my labtop before I actually got to play it.. Grrr. My brother traded it in and they only gave him 20 bucks for a 50 doller game, but honestly its only worth 20 bucks. My mom got it for a doller at some pawn shop and stuck in in her computer and it worked perfectly the guy hair styles …SUCK. the fast forword optin is SUCKYER it stil taked forever for themto get home from work. And I HATE THE FACT THAT YOU CAN’T FALLOW THEM IN TO BUILDINGS. honestly sims 2 was much better. I HATE THE CLOTHES THE MOST NO EVEN ONE GOOD SHIRT, AND THE GIRLS ALWAYS LOOK HORRIBLE IN SKIRTS BECAUSE IF YOU MAKE THEM TO SKINNY THEY HAVE CHISKEN LEGS AND IF YOU PUT IT IN THE MISSLE THE’RE LEGS ARE STILL REALY FAT!!!

I HATE the Sims 3…well, not HATE, but I really don’t like it. My advice for EA:
If you’re going to make The Sims 4, you should combine ALL of the Sims games ever made and make it into one huge game. For example, you can make the sims as pretty and awesome-looking as in The Sims 2, and you can adjust their body weight in muscle, like in The Sims 3. Also, it’d be cool to adjust height…all my sims are the same height…I don’t even play Sims 3 anymore, I play Sims 2…and have NO loading screens, and make the furniture have QUALITY and NOT suck. Also, make it so that you can follow your sims into buildings. And make the game fully customizable (like Jaydee said) and give us all the hacks and cheats so we can make movies and kill our sims forever more.
That’s my dream Sims 4 game.
MAKE IT EA OR I WILL EXPLODE.

I played The Sims 1 to death, all Eps, LOADS of cc, it was finished. I squeezed out as much as I could.
Then I got The Sims 2, half a year later (Yes, I haven’t had it THAT long) I have nearly all Eps, the best ones, and a TON of cc. I would have slightly ditched Sims 2, cc kept it alive, and there’s an infinite amount of cc out there! Amazing! Now, I am a movie-making, cc-creating, modding, animation-creating genius! My vids are amazing (If I tried, I could almost be as good as JD), I have spent nearly every day for half a year making movies for YouTube (As a teen, I am not plagued with responsibility), I love the Sims 2!

Sims 3 came out back when I had Sims 1, I thought it was AMAZING! Though a little bit cheesy, amazing. I thought Sims 2 would be a bit bad, cause I thought (Well if Sims 3 looks that good, ’surely’ Sims 2 must be worse…) How I was wrong. Sims 2 is amazing, Sims 3 is an evil-looking, glitchy, selfish, fat-faced, hyped-up DISGRACE!
EA should burn in the hell they created — Sims 3!

after going from the sims 1 to the sims 2, so much changed and i loved it.
everyone expected so much from the sims 3.
not all the game is bad, but they still have afew flaws.
they should redesign the sims they are too ugly, have better movie making tools and make the intereactions and buildings and getting into cars better.
i dont think they made it out for a younger players, just to make it easy to play.
but i do like the people that steal stuff and give it back, only i don’t give it back. i just make my gardens look nicer :D
